As you know, we are proud to be part of the “Food For Life” partnership. As such, we know the quality of our school meals is very high, with 70% of our food being locally sourced and 30% organic. There are only 6 schools in the whole of the East Midlands who can claim this! All our food is freshly prepared and cooked within school.
Children have a choice of a hot meal every day with the additional option of vegetarian and Halal dishes. They also have access to the salad bar where all children are encouraged to try the variety of options available.
We also offer a ‘Grab Bag’ option for the children which comprises of a sandwich, water, fruit and vegetable selection and a biscuit. The choices of fillings are cheese, tuna, ham or egg.
With the success of our ‘Jacket Potato’ days we have decided to keep them on the menu for children in KS2, Classes 3-6. These will be available on Monday’s and Thursday’s only. The children will have a choice of various fillings and access to the salad bar.
The cost of a school meal, grab bag and jacket potato is £2.10 per day or £10.50 per week for children in KS2 and children in our Full Time Nursery, a meal is £2.00 per day or £10.00 per week which, I am sure you will agree, is very good value. Dinners MUST be paid in advance on a Monday morning.
All monies must be in a sealed envelope with your child’s name, class and ‘Dinner Money’ written on the front.
Online Payment System
Parents/carers now have the option to pay online via the School Gateway website or via the smartphone app which can be downloaded free on an Android or IOS device 24/7. School Gateway is the Schoolcomms online parent portal. Parents/carers can view information, respond to school requests, book on to school trips and make payments. All you need to do is ensure that school have your up to date mobile telephone number and email address and log onto the website where you will be sent a text message with your unique PIN. If you change your mobile telephone number or email address, please let us know as soon as possible so we can update our records.
There will be a minimum payment applied for School Dinner Money of £10.00; trips and uniform will be as stated. The preferred method of payment through the School Gateway would be ‘Instant Bank Transfer’, however there will be an option to pay by Debit Card. Please check carefully when paying to ensure you are transferring money to the correct account, i.e. ‘MAIN ACCOUNT’ for trips and uniform payments and ‘SCHOOL DINNERS’ for payment of children’s meals.
