Now in its 18th year - World Book Day aims to help children explore the pleasure of books and reading, providing them with the opportunity to become immersed in a world of fairytales, magic dragons and much much more.
To promote the love of reading, for one week from 29th February, the children gathered everyday for a whole school assembly in the morning and again in the afternoon to listen to poems different poems. Each assembly was lead by different member of staff who shared some of their favourite poems.
To celebrate World Book Day, lots of children came to school dressed up as a character from a book or a poem - all of the teachers dressed up too!
We hope you enjoy looking at the photos!
