Music Camp 2024!

11 children from class 5, together with Catrin and Mrs Boyce set off for the beautiful setting of Ilam Hall in Derbyshire, to take part in Music Camp 2024!

We had the most incredible time, playing our clarinets, learning to read music, and playing in a huge band. As well our clarinet lessons, we took part in outside music games, musical orienteering, a huge call & response competition in the dark and let’s not forget the night walk with the phantom trumpet player! I was so proud of all of our children, who approached each new challenge with curiosity and enthusiasm and looked after each other throughout the whole two days. It was such a joy to see the children looking in wonder at all the stars in the dark village away from the bright lights of our city, and appreciating nature all around us, including the sheep and the ancient church. Thank you so much to Emma, Claire and the whole of the Nottingham Music Hub Team for giving us such a wonderful opportunity!

The fun continues at Area Band, every Thursday after school from 3.14-4pm!
