PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC, THERE WERE NO NATIONAL SATs OR SCHOOL TESTS FOR 2020 AND 2021.

 

ALTHOUGH TESTS WERE TAKEN AGAIN IN 2022, THE DEPARTMENT FOR EDUCATION HAS STATED THAT THE RESULTS OF THOSE TESTS ARE NOT BEING PUBLISHED THIS YEAR.

 

THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PUBLISH KS2 SCHOOL LEVEL DATA FOR THE 2021 TO 2022 ACADEMIC YEAR. THEY HAVE ARCHIVED DATA FROM THE 2018 TO 2019 ACADEMIC YEAR BECAUSE THEY RECOGNISE THAT THE DATA FROM THAT YEAR MAY NO LONGER REFLECT SCHOOLS' CURRENT PERFORMANCE.

 

CONSEQUENTLY, PLEASE FIND THE NATIONAL TEST RESULTS BELOW FOR 2013-2019.

  • For 2018-19, 22/30 (73%) achieved a Good Level of Development. This is at the same level as last year, above last year’s LA average (67.2%) and national average (71.5%).

 

  • The percentage of children achieving a “Good Level of Development” has increased significantly year on year to above LA and national averages for three years running (31% in 2013, 38% in 2014, 50% in 2015, 61% in 2016, 77% in 2017, 73% in 2018 and 73% in 2019.)

 

  • Attainment of the children in Reading (73.3%) is 3.6% below national levels (77%)

 

  • Attainment of children in Writing (73.3%) is in line with national figures (73.6%.)

 

  • Attainment of children in Number (73.3%) is 6.3% below national figures (79.6%.)

 

  • In 2019 73.3% of the children achieved at least the expected level in all Early Learning Goals (‘ELG’s), compared with 67.2% for the LA and 71.8% nationally.

  • For 2018-19, 24/28 children (80%) reached or exceeded the threshold for the Phonics Test.

This was the same as last year, above the LA average for 2019 (79.3%) but just below the national average for 2019 (81.9%).

 

  • This continues an upward trend from 2014-2019 (59% in 2014, 62% in 2015, 73% in 2016, 75% in 2017, 80% in 2018 and 80% in 2019.)

 

  • Year 1 pupils decoded an average of 29.8 words compared with 32.4 by LA pupils (Boys 27.2 and Girls 31.8 – both below LA average)

  • In Reading, 22/29 (76%) achieved the expected level with 7% reaching Greater Depth.

This is up 3% on the previous year’s results, significantly above this year’s LA attainment (70%) and just above 2019’s national attainment (75%).

 

  • In Writing (TA), 22/29 (76%) achieved the expected level, 7% reaching Greater Depth.

This is up 9% on the previous year’s results, significantly above last year’s LA attainment (64%) and national attainment (69%).

 

  • In Maths, 24/29 (82.8%) achieved the expected level with 10% achieving Greater Depth.

This is up 10% on the previous year’s results, significantly above last year’s LA attainment (71.5%) and national attainment (76%).

 

  • In RWM combined, 23/29 (79%) achieved the expected level with 3% achieving Greater Depth.  This is up 16% on the previous year’s results, significantly above last year’s LA attainment.

This is below last year’s attainment (82%), but above LA attainment (70%) and national attainment (73%).

 

In Writing, 20/29 (69%) achieved the expected level, with 10% at Greater Depth.

This is below last year’s attainment and below LA attainment (74%) and national attainment (78%).

 

In Grammar Punctuation & Spelling, 20/29 (69%) achieved the expected level, with ??% at Greater Depth. This is below last year’s attainment (93%), and below LA attainment (64%) and national attainment (78%).

 

In Maths 18/29 (62%) achieved the expected level, with 34% at Greater Depth.

This is below last year’s attainment (79%), and below LA attainment (78%) and national attainment (78%).

 

In Combined Reading, Writing & Maths 16/29 (55%) achieved the expected level, with  ??% at Greater Depth. This is below last year’s attainment (61%), and below LA attainment (62%) and national attainment (65%).

 

            Progress Scores are very high (+5.63) in Reading and high in Writing (+0.63) and Maths (+0.24)
