In October, we took part in the Big Meadows Clean up with the support of Nottingham Clean Champions and Green Meadows. All 3 schools in the Meadows joined forces to clean up the community over a week. We filled 8 bags of rubbish in one action and our children have pledged to go again in the Spring. 

October sees the start of Autumn and the arrival of the beloved Conker! Whilst Habitat mapping our grounds, we discovered we have a wealth of beautiful trees. The children used an identification wheel to work out which trees we have by way of their leaves. We used the conkers to make art mandalas on the playground and the falling leaves to make Autumn crowns and tree pictures. 

We also harvested the last of our apples to make cakes and purees.
